About the role
The Communications Technician position at S&T supports our mission of providing high-quality, reliable service. Key responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting new and existing services from our outside plant telecommunications facilities. Additionally, this role involves routine testing and maintenance using various test and plant locating equipment.Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot new and existing services from outside plant telecommunications facilities.
- Routine testing and maintenance using various test and plant locating equipment.
Requirements
- General knowledge of telecommunications plant equipment operations and maintenance, including installation and repair. Paid training provided.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Hard-working, self-starter working as part of a team.
- Good communicator who enjoys working with customers and co-workers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in telecommunications or related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
