About the Role

Under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager, you will develop and implement communication strategies to promote TMCR’s work, manage its public image, and ensure consistent messaging across various channels. You will create content, manage communication channels, and build relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and distribute content for various channels, including press releases, newsletters, social media, website content, and marketing materials.
  • Develop and implement communication plans aligned with TMCR and HR’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage and maintain social media content for Human Resources and other stakeholders as required.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community, influencers, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of events, webinars, and public-facing activities.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of communication materials.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts and make adjustments as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to others on communication best practices.
  • Manage and respond to communication challenges.
  • Prepare reports on communication activities and their impact.
  • Create, review, and distribute internal communication to Team Members, including utilization of bulletin boards and other appropriate communication channels.
  • Plan, create, and edit the publication of an internal quarterly newsletter.
  • Design creative and informative media for all Team Member engagement communications.
  • Identify and implement programs to enhance Team Member morale, aligned with both stated and desired operating culture.
  • Assist in the coordination of Team Member recognition programs where required.
  • Coordinate Team Member appreciation events, All Team Member Meetings, and other assigned events.
  • Conduct event evaluations and report findings.
  • Create and design graphics for internal use.
  • Communicate with the Marketing Department to ensure current Casino graphics are being utilized.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, unless waived by the Director of Human Resources.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in communications and graphic design.
  • Mac experience, working knowledge of Adobe CC, Microsoft Office suite, and HRIS experience.
  • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines, flexible, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation, as well as obtain and maintain a gaming license.

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in cross-functional project management methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of records management and basic accounting procedures.
  • Skill in operating word-processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint programs in a Windows environment, including HRIS.
  • Ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content for various audiences and platforms.
  • Ability to develop and implement communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with executive management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence.
  • Ability to use good judgment, analyze, and solve problems.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources functions.
  • Experience working in a customer-oriented professional environment.
  • Proven organization skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timeliness and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals while working under limited supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretionary judgment.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishments in applying HR concepts to difficult and complex assignments.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This position works primarily indoors with a low noise level. The employee may occasionally be exposed to cigarette smoke.
