Responsibilities
- Develop and manage end-to-end communication flows, in partnership with EdPlus and the ASU Enterprise, guiding prospective students from college choice through enrollment (including pathways and ASU Online) and supporting current students through registration, financial aid, and degree completion.
- Champion AI-driven personalization at scale, using Marketing Cloud's Einstein, Claude, and other emerging tools to deliver segmented and 1:1 campaigns, including corporate partner-specific messaging on eligibility and benefits.
- Use a data-first approach to identify student pain points, run multivariate tests, validate audience targeting against business rules, and track engagement and ROI to continually optimize communications.
- Partner with stakeholders across academic units, support services, the CRM team, success center, enrollment center, data teams, and colleges/units to gather requirements and build comprehensive, non-redundant communication strategies.
- Develop contextual, motivational content, including college-specific resources, eligibility, benefits, alumni success stories, and milestone celebrations, to strengthen student connection and persistence.
- Implement targeted re-engagement strategies to help prospective students complete enrollment and help current students persist toward completion.
- Perform meticulous QA testing on campaigns, covering personalization, dynamic content, segmentation rules, and compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, CASL, and TCPA, with close attention to detail and a willingness to question the data when something looks off to catch errors before they reach students.
- Create, design, schedule, and optimize campaigns across email, SMS, dialer, app notifications, and ringless voicemail, including building and troubleshooting email templates with dynamic content, AMPscript, interactive content, personalization logic, segmentation, and rendering, while serving as a resource on design and layout best practices.
- Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making to prioritize work, solve problems, and contribute new ideas and journey mapping that produce measurable improvements in student outcomes.
- Write and review content to ensure adherence to ASU and corporate partner brand guidelines, document learners' communication experience across products, and contribute to market research to understand and segment student audiences.
- Coordinate or assume other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
