About the role
The Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communication strategies that enhance brand awareness, support organizational growth, and strengthen engagement with clients, employees, and the community. This role will own the Angels of Care website and all internal channels (e.g. newsletters, Sharepoint) and will leverage digital media platforms as well as content creation tools to ensure all messaging aligns with the organization’s mission, values, and brand standards. This position collaborates cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives and serves as a liaison with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage external communications across digital channels, including website inquiries, online reviews, client updates, and community engagement.
- Create and execute automation initiatives to streamline and accelerate responses to daily high volumes of inquiries via contact forms on the Angels of Care website.
- Create and distribute internal content such as HALOS newsletters, announcements, and communication distribution lists.
- Collaborate with other departments in the company to plan, design, and execute marketing and communication strategies.
- Write and distribute unique content that effectively conveys messages and calls-to-action while ensuring the message is consistent and engaging.
- Identify communication gaps, anticipate questions, solve problems, and recommend improvements that align with company values.
- Serve as liaison between external organizations and Angels of Care leadership.
- Develop and maintain branding standards with an extensive understanding of company’s history, mission and values.
- Develop, organize, and manage company programs that increase client/employee satisfaction while promoting company values with brand awareness in mind.
- Design and develop clear, visually engaging presentations that effectively communicate key messages to internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or similar field is preferred.
- Understanding of and ability to use necessary design and communication platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), Canva, Mailchimp, Google Business, all digital platforms.
- Experience creating content and pages for Microsoft SharePoint.
- Interpersonal, organizational, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
