Responsibilities
- Answer telephones, greeting all callers in a professional manner.
- Listen to requests from patients or customers and accurately dispatch requests and information to the appropriate persons.
- Accurately communicate and dispatch Emergency Codes.
- Promptly and accurately initiate offline procedures when indicated.
- Maintain equipment, activity logs, and checklists.
- Answer multiple incoming telephone lines to the hospital switchboard.
- Obtain necessary information and transfer calls to the correct department or patient room extension.
- Provide information to callers as appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
