About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Communications Professional to support a global healthcare technology business. This individual will serve as a key communications resource responsible for developing and executing both internal and external communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication plans and messaging strategies.
  • Create communications for employee audiences across multiple communication channels.
  • Draft, edit, and publish:
    • Employee communications.
    • Intranet articles.
    • Internal email campaigns.
    • Employee engagement posts.
    • Social media content (primarily LinkedIn).
    • Marketing communication assets.
    • Landing page content.
    • Manage communication initiatives from concept through final execution.
    • Cook up stakeholder reviews, approvals, and publication timelines.
    • Support communications related to major business initiatives, organizational changes, events, and strategic priorities.
    • Aid in communications supporting annual conferences and other high-profile business initiatives.
    • Develop partial communication plans.
    • Implement communication activities defined in the annual communication plan.
    • Determine and schedule communication activities and deliverables.
    • Contribute to publications, articles, newsletters, and other communication materials.
    • Coordinate with external service providers supporting communication initiatives.
    • Monitor communication activities and budgets associated with assigned projects.
  • Communications Focus
    • Approximately 70% Internal Communications.
    • Approximately 30% External and Marketing Communications.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional communications experience.
  • Strong background in Corporate/Internal Communications.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience tailoring messaging for different audiences and communication channels.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, audience-focused communications.
  • Experience managing communications from strategy through execution.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marketing Communications (MarCom) experience.
  • Experience creating LinkedIn and other social media content.
  • Understanding of social media best practices, including:
    • Copy development.
    • Visual content selection.
    • Calls-to-action.
    • Landing page alignment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide initiatives, organizational changes, and corporate events.
  • Experience supporting executive communications and employee engagement initiatives.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • SharePoint site creation and maintenance.
  • Microsoft Teams and Teams Channels.
  • Employee communication platforms and email deployment tools.
  • Experience with communications management platforms similar to YesPress.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Relevant communications experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
