Communications Operator

About the role

This position is located in Grafton, WI and is part-time with benefits eligible. The hours are 12 per week, working 3rd shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend with 2 rotating holidays.

Major Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming/internal calls on the AMCOM/Alcatel system.
• Direct calls to the appropriate department/individual.
• Aid callers dialing out.
• Respond to any signals from the emergency panel and wall.
• Follow policy and procedure to alert all required personnel involved in the emergency.
• Maintain personnel work schedule in a professional manner, being flexible and covering absences when needed.
• Arrive for scheduled shifts in time to be logged in and ready to take calls at start time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak English fluently.
• Good communication skills.
• Good keyboarding skills.
• Must type 30 wpm preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to see/utilize information from board, screens, overhead monitors and alarm panels.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a good multi-tasker.
• Must be patient and compassionate with callers.
• Must be able to sit through shift.

Pay

$18.85 - $28.30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

3rd shift, 12-hour shift. Every other weekend with 2 rotating holidays.
