Dispatch Public Safety Officers instantly. Monitor fire alarms, camera feeds, and use crucial systems like NCIC/JNET. Maintain vital communication between officers, the community, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Reporting Relationships: This role reports to the Supervisor, Communications & Security Technology.
• Work Setting/Work Schedule: On campus student facing. Up to 17 hours per week across three different shifts.
• Emergency Response/Communications: Answers telephone and radio calls. Collects information and dispatches the appropriate emergency personnel to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintains accurate operation logs in accordance with federal emergency communication regulations.
• Security Monitoring & Emergency Alerting: Monitors and operates the University camera and surveillance systems. Monitors fire, intrusion, trouble and panic alarms. Alerts emergency personnel as appropriate.
