About the role
Boston University School of Law is seeking a Communications Manager to manage the law school's official social media channels and serve as the primary resource for external media requests. This role also includes producing news and editorial content for print and digital publications, coordinating internal communications, and collaborating on special projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage official social media channels for the law school
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external media inquiries
- Coordinate internal communications for law students, faculty, and staff
- Work with marketing and communications staff on special projects and initiatives
- Develop and produce news and editorial content for print and digital publications
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of relevant experience required
- Excellent writing, project management, and social media skills are essential
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines is necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver high-quality, accurate work in a timely manner are required
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in higher education or legal communications
- Knowledge of legal terminology and concepts
- Experience with content management systems and graphic design software
