Communications Manager

3-month contract role based in Plano, TX (fully onsite).

Pay & Benefits

$47–50.35/hr W2 + benefits.

Responsibilities

• Execute PR strategies and plans for the mobile business units and its products.
• Lead day-to-day management of key external partners.
• Maintain relationships with top-tier, influential consumer tech and lifestyle media.
• Identify interesting story angles about the full mobile ecosystem and secure stories that have high potential to attract strong media coverage.
• Take an open-ended mandate and give it analysis and structure, culminating in a concrete set of PR objectives and a clear way to achieve them.
• Collaborate with Global offices and business groups in Korea and the US.
• Provide support/management of outside agencies.
• Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading successful PR strategies is required.
• Experience leading PR strategies in consumer technology products and services is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with little or no direction; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priority projects and deadlines.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Intermediate MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot tables).
