Communications Liaison

About the Role

The Communication Liaison is a critical role in ensuring patient and client advocacy while coordinating with internal Team Members for the best possible outcomes for pets. In essence, you will be the “human touch” and organizational hub, ensuring clarity and compassion in high‑stress veterinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Client Communication: Facilitate the hospital team's efficiency by managing the flow of basic communication, including updates and information through appropriate channels.
• Internal Coordination: Relay client needs and concerns between “front of house” and “back of house” teams and vice versa.
• Process Improvement: Develop and refine communication protocols to reduce client stress and improve efficiency; work closely with the Care Navigation Team to ensure a streamlined, well‑organized, and comfortable experience for each client and their pet.
• Patient Advocacy: Act as the client’s advocate, ensuring questions are answered and care is compassionate by being the friendly and professional voice of Arista Advanced Pet Care Hospital.

Requirements

• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and processes.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service, high‑quality care, and overall excellence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for in‑person, telephone, video, email, and texting.
• High emotional intelligence with a personable, flexible communication style to serve pet owners and veterinary teams (general practice, specialty, emergency).
• Strong active listening and empathy skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Extremely organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated for an efficient working style.
• Ability to meet any position‑specific screening requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.

Schedule

• Ability to work in‑person nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call shifts as needed.
