Communications Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Commercial Strategy and Innovation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Communications Intern for Summer 2027 to support our internal and external communications efforts. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications within the healthcare technology sector.

Intern Program Details

• Paid Internship
• Full time / 10 weeks
• Position will be based out of Texas, Georgia, or Virginia
• The internship program provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching
• Experiential learning and training provided by exposure to subject matter experts

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, editing and proofreading a variety of communications materials, including internal announcements, press releases, website content, social media posts, presentations, etc.
• Support the planning and execution of internal and external communication campaigns and events.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities and media coverage to inform communications strategies.
• Manage and update content on internal communication platforms and external digital channels.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure consistent messaging.
• Assist with media monitoring and reporting on communications effectiveness.
• Provide general administrative support to the Communications team as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Prior internship experience in communications or a related field is a plus.
