About the role

The Communications Intern will support the communications team in various projects including social media management, content creation, and event coordination. The intern will also assist with community outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the organization's social media accounts
  • Create and edit content for various platforms
  • Coordinate and attend community events
  • Assist with writing press releases and other communications materials
  • Support the development and implementation of community outreach strategies

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media management tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Interest in community engagement and nonprofit work
  • Ability to work flexible hours, typically Monday through Saturday
