Communications Engineer

About the role

The Opportunity: As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to designing and integrating Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (PLEO) and communication systems. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of PLEO Comms systems.

Responsibilities

• Transform Mission Systems requirements to improve PLEO Comms performance of a variety of platforms.
• Work with existing teams to understand the current challenges and work with OEMs to develop and integrate those upgrades to improve the warfighters' competitive edge.
• Auxiliary in augmenting designs and algorithms to better system performance.

Requirements

• Experience in radar systems
• Knowledge of systems integration challenges

Qualifications

• Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to improve warfighter capabilities

Skills

• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field

Nice if you have

• Experience with modern Navy PLEO Comms systems
• Experience with the SETR process
• Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting
• Ability to analyze PLEO Comms designs and provide technical inputs improve performance and integration ease
• Top Secret clearance
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
