Opportunity
The Communications Consultant, Global Government Affairs, will play a key role in shaping and executing strategic communications that advance the company’s public policy priorities, regulatory positions and reputation among policymakers, regulators, trade associations and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage internal/external communications for government affairs and policy initiatives (briefs, talking points, exec messaging, stakeholder materials).
- Draft, edit, and align content for policymakers, regulators, and partners; advise enterprise comms on policy, regulatory, and political issues.
- Support public policy engagement (forums, briefings, trade associations) with remarks, presentations, and policy summaries.
- Monitor political and policy developments; produce timely updates and maintain consistent tone, branding, and messaging.
- Contribute to digital/social content and media relations messaging; support PAC communications and engagement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Public Policy, Journalism, or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong writing/editing skills with ability to simplify complex policy issues for diverse audiences.
- Deep understanding of policy, regulatory, and political processes, including media and emerging platforms.
- Experience supporting senior executives and managing cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
- Sound judgment with strong awareness of political context, reputation management, and key influencers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the financial services industry and client-business dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (design tools a plus).
Location Expectation
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $89,700 - $119,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
