Responsibilities
- Support the US Policy Communications Lead by spearheading organizational support for the team, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and integration with other Airbnb functions, and providing surge capacity for overall policy communications needs nationwide.
- Serve as connective tissue between regional U.S. comms leads and communicating priorities internally to key stakeholders on other teams.
- Develop internal and external written materials: press materials, story pitches, op-eds, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, talking points, etc.
- Identify opportunities to partner with Airbnb’s public policy team regarding new community policies that protect the business and strengthen the company’s reputation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, including supporting a team in a communications and administrative capacity.
- Strong process-oriented skills and passion for learning, improving, and sharing best practices.
- Confidence driving communications processes and ensuring team organization.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate across departments and to all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Prior experience working with press and in communications.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and ability to keep a level head in even the most stressful situations.
- Personal integrity that reflects Airbnb’s core values and commitment to diversity and belonging.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Pay
$36–$49 per hour.
