Position Summary
The Program in Human Biology is seeking a full-time Communications and Outreach Manager to provide a full range of support including alumni communications and program events as well as support to the Director of the Program. Under the direction of the Administrative Director, the Communications and Outreach Manager will work with alumni volunteers, faculty, the Office of Development, University Communications, and other University colleagues to develop, implement, and assist with evaluating activities, programs, services, and communications that reach, serve, and engage alumni.
Responsibilities
- Recruit faculty and volunteers to facilitate their participation in alumni programs and events.
- Develop contacts and maintain relationships with alumni, faculty, students, staff, and vendors.
- Develop and implement a range of alumni events, programs, and services.
- Cook up operational and logistical planning of alumni events, activities, outreach efforts, and event registration.
- Produce reports to evaluate performance of alumni programs and services.
- Recruit and oversee student workers and temporary/casual workers.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education And Experience: Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated skills at building collaborative relationships with internal colleagues and customers; ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet expected deadlines and schedules; excellent customer service skills; strong project management skills and the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple projects; computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems; detail oriented.
