About the role

As a Communication Specialist, you will develop digital and written materials across multiple channels, supporting communication strategies for complex and high-visibility initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform ideas and information into accessible, effective messaging. The position requires strong storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to improving audience engagement through thoughtful content creation, editing, and communication execution. This remote opportunity is ideal for a skilled communicator who enjoys combining creativity, organization, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and deliver high-quality communication materials, including newsletters, alerts, customer letters, talking points, fact sheets, text messages, and other digital content.
  • Collaborate with communication teams and internal stakeholders to develop messaging that aligns with audience needs, project objectives, and brand standards.
  • Manage individual communication projects from planning through execution, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Develop and execute email campaigns using visual editing tools while maintaining consistency across communication channels.
  • Review and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, proper grammar, and strong overall presentation.
  • Support additional communication initiatives and contribute to process improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience creating, writing, editing, and proofreading professional communications content across multiple formats.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and communication channels.
  • Experience developing content for digital platforms, including email campaigns, websites, social media, mobile alerts, and other digital communication tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining strong organization, attention to detail, and quality standards.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with experience working across teams, including creative, design, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and project management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
