Commonwealth Heritage Group is seeking qualified and experienced applicants to fill a full-time Associate Archaeologist position in their Columbus, Ohio office.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting archaeological fieldwork, managing projects, and contributing to the development of project reports and presentations. They will also assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff members.

Responsibilities

• Conducting archaeological fieldwork
• Managing archaeological projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of archaeological methods and techniques
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Archaeology or related field preferred
• Experience with GIS software
• Experience with project management software

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Attention to detail
