Duties and Responsibilities
- Own supplier relationship management, including supplier performance metrics.
- Develop long-term supply strategies for critical components/materials, including dual sourcing and contingency planning.
- Cooking purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to identify new suppliers, analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery, and ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Quote and procure materials and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need, and negotiate supplier contracts as appropriate.
Competencies
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or equivalent education; or an Associate's Degree in equivalent field with a minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of previous Supplier Management experience.
- Analytical Problem Solving and Leadership skills.
- Proficient in using Spread Sheets, Word Processing, and E-mail software.
- Proficient and adept with planning / scheduling using MRP systems. APICS training is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
You must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this role.
Pay
$85,000+ depending on experience
