• Work alongside a talented team of merchandisers to buy and sell commodities, honing your collaborative skills and driving innovation.
• Gain hands-on experience in managing the logistics of commodity supply chains, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Learn about risk management strategies and their critical role in shaping business outcomes.
• Dive deep into market analysis, understanding the economic factors that influence market conditions, and make informed decisions.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with end-users and suppliers, becoming a trusted partner in the commodities market.
• Contribute to daily tasks and have the opportunity to lead a project throughout the summer and showcase your experience, learning, and recommendations to key leaders.

We have multiple locations for Merchandising Interns. In the interview process, you will be asked for your location preference between Omaha, Nebraska and Overland Park, Kansas.

Internship Program Overview

At Scoular, we are dedicated to developing young talent to support our customers and partners around the world. Scoular interns gain real-life experiences while learning the ins and outs of our businesses and solutions. During the 11-week program, interns create a true impact on our business by building relationships with customers, immersing themselves in our culture, and working alongside team members.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
• Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and motivated by achieving results while helping grow a business
• Strong communicator who can initiate conversations, build trust and new relationships, understand customer needs, and deliver exceptional service
• Resilient and tenacious, able to learn from setbacks and stay motivated when faced with challenges
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment while balancing multiple priorities
• Proactive problem solver who can analyze situations and adapt quickly
• Curious about markets, business strategy, and how decisions impact business results
• Proven leader with experience leading in clubs, athletics, projects, or student government
• Active in your community and passionate about making a positive impact, whether on campus, in your hometown, or beyond

After the Internship

Our goal is to hire our interns permanently after they graduate into a full-time position as part of our Pathways Development Program. This program is a two-year development initiative designed for new graduates. You'll dive into an immersive, fast-paced learning experience that combines diverse hands-on opportunities, active networking, and continuous education. By the end of the program, you’ll have a comprehensive understanding of Scoular's business and the confidence and skills to seize endless possibilities within.
