Commodity Buyer

Pay rate: $32.00–$34.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the base hourly rate for hours worked beyond 40 in a work week.

About the Role

This position supports a wider team of Buyers within the group, leads strategic planning, and monitors, updates, and forecasts costs and purchase orders.

• Cost management tools – daily interaction with other buyers to obtain data and reporting
• Various reports requiring daily action

Requirements

Education & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Open to 2-year degree with 7 years’ experience
• Open to master’s degree with 1 year of experience if strong in other areas

Skills

• Strategy development
• Data analysis: Excel, Power BI
• Procurement processes
• Technical skills:
  • Excel environments (pivot tables, lookups, light macros)
  • Statistical analysis tools
  • Procurement strategy experience
  • QCDLM processes
  • Prior negotiation experience
• Soft skills:
  • Presentation and communication across stakeholders
  • Team collaboration with global team members

Pay

Typical base pay range: $32.00–$34.00/hour. Final offer amounts are determined by relevant skills, education, and experience.
