About the role

This senior-level position plays a critical role in supporting our Global traders and clients by efficiently processing and monitoring orders and transactions. The successful candidate will lead the Commodities Confirmations team, providing crucial cross-functional support, training, and acting as a point of escalation for internal and external queries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Commodities Confirmations team, providing crucial cross-functional support, training, and handling escalations.
  • Support the drafting of standard and bespoke trade confirmations to ensure accurate terms of executed transactions.
  • Daily monitoring and handling of ICE eConfirm electronic matching confirmation process.
  • Review incoming confirmations from counterparties and discuss any non-standard clauses with Legal prior to execution.
  • Aid in resolving internal and external queries and escalations promptly.
  • Provide support to Front Office Sales and Trading for all commodities confirmation related queries.
  • Develop a technical understanding of Citi trading and confirmation applications and architecture.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend creative suggestions for process improvements.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing as necessary to ensure all proposed system releases and enhancements are fit for purpose.
  • Ensure procedures are appropriately updated and documented.
  • Assist in training team members in operational procedures and best practices.

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years’ experience in processing and monitoring orders and transactions within a commodities securities and derivatives environment.

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of trading desk operations and confirmation processes.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, assist with training, and handle escalations.

Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and recommending solutions for process enhancements.

Risk Awareness: Understanding of operational risks and control mechanisms.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with traders, clients, and internal teams.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
