Job Summary
A QA/QC Inspector at Salas O’Brien works closely with Impact Cx and external project teams to verify equipment and system quality, ensuring fully commissioned buildings. This role supports projects from pre-construction through start-up, often managing multiple assignments.
General Duties
- Communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Review project documents, test results, submittals, RFIs, and drawings for accuracy and implementation.
- Execute and witness QA/QC tests onsite.
- Track and report commissioning issues and updates to the site management team.
- Verify accuracy of project records before client submission.
- Adhere to company safety rules, policies, and client requirements.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; relevant commissioning, construction, or facilities experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- A bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with construction management tools like BIM 360 or Procore is a plus.
- OSHA 10-hour and NFPA 70E certifications required within a set timeframe.
Skills
- Highly organized with strong client service and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of QA/QC processes, industry standards, and inspection procedures.
- Analytical and responsive in sensitive situations, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with data center systems (e.g., MV Gear, UPS, HVAC, BMS) and LOTO requirements is a plus.
- Experience in equipment startup, commissioning, and functional testing.
- Able to read construction drawings and interpret technical documentation.
Other Requirements
- Ability to bend and lift 30lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders.
Pay
The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000+ USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
