Responsibilities
- Manages all stages of commissioning process, from initial planning and design reviews to final testing and handover
- Creates commissioning plans, schedules, test procedures (like IET and IPVT/IST), and verification checklists
- Ensures the facility and its systems comply with design specifications, health and safety standards, and performance requirements
- Acts as the main point of contact and manages communication between various teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Prepares and manages all necessary documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and final certification documents
- Performs and oversees various tests, such as functional testing and site acceptance testing, to verify system performance
- Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks
- Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards
- Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
- Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports

- Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 10-12 years of data center commissioning experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: In-depth knowledge of data center systems, including power distribution, cooling, HVAC, and IT equipment. Ability to manage schedules, budgets, change orders, and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
