Position Responsibilities
- Participate in system commissioning and startup activities, ensuring that process equipment operates to design specifications and performance targets.
- Diagnose and resolve process and mechanical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
- Conduct performance evaluations of process parameters (flow, pressure, temperature, mixing, etc.) and propose improvements.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to optimize control logic and ensure process stability and repeatability.
- Manage and communicate commissioning risks in cooperation with the project General Contractor and client construction/Commissioning teams.
- Ensure documentation for all commissioning activities is maintained and submitted via the completions database and meets all performance parameters of the plant.
- Monitor quality assurance initiatives, including installation & assembly, alignment, cleanliness, integrity, etc. of the process systems.
- Ensure our clients' codes, standards, and specifications are followed during construction/commissioning and acceptance of facilities process systems.
- Leverage your extensive background in project management and construction to provide specialized expertise and guidance to the project teams.
- Review process systems commissioning plans in alignment with client specifications and local code.
- Represent the client during design reviews, ensuring process systems meet project requirements.
- Review and execute verification checklists and test procedures.
- Attends commissioning meetings and works with the manager to resolve issues.
- Report to the client Operations team weekly.
- Support field execution, including job walks and site observations.
- Follow EHS guidelines and site safety requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in leading process systems construction and commissioning operations.
- 7+ years of experience in process commissioning, startup, or production engineering — ideally in the advanced technology/semiconductor sector.
- Experience across all process systems, including Waste, water (UPW, PCW, CW, CHW, HW, HRW).
- Experience leading process systems commissioning teams and third-party testing providers.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction completion and testing procedures.
- Able to troubleshoot process systems during startup and commissioning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to understand complex problems and distil the message into a clear plan.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to read P&IDs, PFD’s, Isometric’s and technical process documentation.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting process equipment such as pumps, valves, mixers, heat exchangers, and flow systems.
- Knowledge of process instrumentation, sensors, and control loops.
- Familiarity with automation systems (PLC/HMI/SCADA) and industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of process safety standards and quality assurance procedures.
- Semiconductor/Datacenter or advanced technology industry experience is preferred but not essential.
