Commissioning Foreman
About the Role
A day in the life includes performing detailed reviews of design documents, contract specifications, and utility requirements to familiarize with project needs. You will assist in writing site-specific Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, communicate these plans to field personnel, and ensure compliance. Coordination with the Commissioning Principal to plan resources and equipment allocations is key, along with preparing detailed weekly and daily commissioning work plans that outline devices and systems to be tested and track overall progress. Supervision of testing activities to ensure adherence to Site Risk Assessments and Daily Work Plans is also required.
Responsibilities
- Review design documents, contract specifications, and utility requirements
- Write and communicate site-specific Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
- Coordinate with Commissioning Principal for resource and equipment planning
- Prepare detailed weekly and daily commissioning work plans
- Supervise testing activities to ensure compliance with safety and work plans
Requirements
- 2-3 years of commissioning experience or 4-6 years of construction supervision experience
- Able to pass MVR check, background check, physical, and drug test
- Willingness to travel and relocate to the jobsite (100% travel with rotations)
Qualifications
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, points lists, single-line, three-line, layout, plan, profile, grading, foundations, steel, and specifications for HV/MV project construction, testing, and commissioning
- Background in electrical trades (Collection, Substation, and Solar) with interchangeable skills across segments

Pay
$41.29 - $58.32 per hour. Individual compensation is determined based on applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
