Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning activities, including development of test scripts, functional testing, and verification of system performance.
- Conduct pre-functional and functional testing of low-voltage systems, including networks, AV, security, and other building technology systems.
- Document commissioning findings, maintain issues logs, and track resolution of deficiencies.
- Participate in site observations, job walks, and construction meetings.
- Assist in the development of commissioning plans, schedules, and closeout documentation.
- Contribute to commissioning reports and deliverables under the guidance of the Commissioning Lead or Project Manager.
- Support coordination with contractors, design teams, and facility owners during testing and verification activities.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and translate technical observations into clear communications.
- Assist with proposal development, fee estimating, and participation in bid walks as opportunities arise.
- Attend industry events, site visits, and client meetings to support business development and build professional relationships.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of commissioning, consulting, construction administration, integration, or technology field experience.
- Experience with low-voltage systems, including networks, AV, security, and building technology systems preferred.
- Airline/transportation industry experience is a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
- Ambitious mindset with interest in business development and leadership opportunities.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and adapt to changing project demands.
Education & Certifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field (preferred).
- Certifications: CxA, EIT, or related certifications (preferred but not required).
