About the role
The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the equipment that ensures our customers have continuous access to the innovation they rely on.
Responsibilities
- Support the construction and commissioning of various systems such as medium and low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, building management systems, electrical power monitoring systems, testing and balancing, pumps and hydronic systems.
- Review design documents, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and manage third-party commissioning vendors in the performance of onsite pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing.
- Provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects.
- Review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing.
- Manage the project commissioning vendor whose primary scope is to identify issues, determine criticality, propose solutions, and document their findings.
- Communicate lessons learned and continuously collaborate on program improvements.
Requirements
- Experienced in Critical Infrastructure Commissioning.
- Fast-paced environment.

- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 80% of the year.
- Personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
- High technical competency in either mechanical or electrical or control systems utilized in critical infrastructures, with the capability to learn and be trained in the others.
- Understand the design concept and intent by reviewing mechanical or electrical design documentation, including drawings, specifications, vendor submittals and sequences of operations and provide feedback on the same in accordance with Amazon standards for basis of design.
- Develop but majorly review commissioning documentation such as test plans, scripts and reports developed by vendors to ensure accuracy in accordance with the design requirements.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint (or similar).
- Strong communication skills, detail oriented, highly organized, and able to work in high stress environments to maintain calm and respectful interaction with multiple teams.
- Ability to read and edit construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.).

Pay
Base salary range for this position is $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.
Schedule
Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
