About the role

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This includes managing the data centers and ensuring continuous access to the innovative services our customers rely on.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed

Key job responsibilities

  • Provides testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure
  • Reviews design documents, leads Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and manages third-party commissioning vendors in the performance of onsite pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing
  • Takes Ownership of their projects’ successes by diving deep to resolve technical issues and having Bias for Action to address ever-changing schedule and coordination demands onsite
  • Communicates lessons learned and collaborates on program improvements
  • Manages the project commissioning vendor whose primary scope is to identify issues, determine criticality, propose solutions, and document their findings
  • Escalates project turnover risks to appropriate stakeholders
  • Communicates lessons learned to help peers on similar projects in flight and participates in initiatives that drive improvement to the commissioning program

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 80% of the year

Prioritized Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint (or similar)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly organized
  • Able to work in high-stress environments
  • Technical competency in either mechanical or electrical or control systems utilized in critical infrastructures
  • Ability to read and edit construction documents (design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, etc.)

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.

Schedule

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
