Commissioning Director

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Commissioning Director to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $177,000 – $265,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning delivery across multiple concurrent data center construction projects
• Develop and implement standardized commissioning strategies, frameworks, and schedules
• Own pipeline planning to optimize resource allocation and execution strategy
• Partner with Construction, Design, and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Provide input into project budgets, commissioning strategies, and testing protocols
• Serve as the senior point of contact for customers during commissioning phases
• Drive adoption of commissioning standards, governance, and best practices

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data center commissioning within mission-critical environments
• Proven leadership experience managing complex, multi-site construction programs
• Strong technical expertise in electrical and/or mechanical systems
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience managing external vendors and large-scale service delivery contracts
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
