About the role
The Commission Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities
- Engage customers on the sales floor, learning their needs, and guiding them through the selection of fine jewelry and timepieces while delivering a warm, personalized experience.
- Present product features and benefits, explain care and maintenance, and support customers with sizing, repairs, and special orders.
- Meet individual and store sales goals, process transactions accurately, and maintain merchandising standards and store cleanliness.
- Stay informed about new collections, brand partnerships, and promotions, and collaborate with the team to ensure consistent service and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen actively and tailor recommendations to individual needs.
- Sales and retail expertise, including experience with commission-based selling, upselling, and achieving or exceeding performance targets.
- Clear verbal communication and professional interpersonal skills, with comfort engaging diverse customers in a luxury retail environment.
- Attention to detail and reliability in handling cash, processing POS transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge, including jewelry materials, gemstones, timepieces, and brand stories.
- Team-oriented mindset, punctuality, and flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior experience in jewelry, luxury goods, or specialty retail is beneficial but not required; a genuine interest in jewelry and timepieces is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales, retail, or customer experience is a plus.
