Initial Placement

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

• Prepares, season, and mix, grab & go salads/sandwiches/etc., compound salads, fruit/veggie displays, other foodstuffs for consumption in dining areas at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races
• Slices meats/cheeses/vegetables/fruits, portions food to fill orders
• Fills commissary orders to outlets
• Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking/mixing
• Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked
• Slices meats/cheeses/vegetables/fruits, portions food to fill orders
• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3 months experience in the culinary field
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission
• Attend our West Virginia Food Handlers Class and pass certification

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
