About the role

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Commercialization Manager to report directly to the Commercialization Lead and oversee a commercialization professional. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the commercial strategy throughout the full project lifecycle, from business case development through final commercial closeout. The Commercialization Manager will lead commercial governance, contract management, financial oversight, change management, and vendor performance activities across large and complex infrastructure programs. Working closely with functional leads, project teams, clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders, this position ensures that commercial processes effectively support project delivery while maintaining strong compliance, accountability, and value realization. The successful candidate will serve as a key commercial advisor, driving commercial excellence, risk management, and performance improvements that contribute to the achievement of strategic project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the overall commercial strategy across the project lifecycle
  • Lead commercialization activities from project inception through lifecycle closeout, including business case development, commercial strategy development, value assessment and realization, contracting and procurement engagements, commercial governance oversight, and financial closeout (including final payments and contract settlement)
  • Ensure commercial objectives align with project goals, client expectations, and organizational priorities

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial, contractual, and procurement acumen
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, category management, and contract administration
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities
  • Strong analytical and financial management capabilities
  • Proven ability to develop and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and value realization initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with contract management systems, procurement platforms, and financial reporting tools

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $153,500.00 to $201,450.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Preference will be shown to candidates willing to commute to the office in Columbus, OH, or who are willing to travel up to 50% to client sites. Jacobs empowers employees with a hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
