Commercial Tire Specialist

About the Role

Amrize is hiring a Commercial Tire Specialist for its Aggregates and Ready‑Mix operation in Bellingham, WA. The specialist assesses tread levels and valve quality, checks wear patterns to determine tire life, ensures proper inflation, and changes tires on the fleet.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health of tires on commercial dump trucks, ready‑mix trucks, and white‑fleet trucks.
• Perform all related maintenance and upkeep of tires.
• Install new tires.
• Conduct inventory and maintain equipment.
• Observe safety regulations and established operational procedures at all times.
• Complete paperwork and record‑keeping as required.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Promptly report unusual circumstances, problems, or difficulties to the supervisor.
• Help in the diesel maintenance shop as needed and during downtime.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a culture of safety.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School diploma or GED (required).
• Work Experience: Proven experience as a tire specialist in a commercial truck shop, with knowledge of tire patterns and material composition.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift tires ranging from 20 lb to 100 lb and maneuver tires over 100 lb.
  • Ability to operate yard tractor, forklift, and bobcat.
  • Capacity for heavy lifting and physically demanding work for prolonged periods in extreme climates.
  • Ability to work crouched or standing for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and work on catwalks or other unusual areas.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of safe work habits.
  • Willingness to work overtime and some Saturdays.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirator fit requirements.
