Commercial Tire Pick Up & Delivery Driver - Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities

• Report to and work under the direction of Store Manager and Support Sales Staff.
• Physically load and unload product for safe transportation.
• Properly and accurately check load invoice against product load and be accountable of process to management.
• Consistent work attendance, as it is important to be consistent with customer's delivery days and schedules.
• Clean and maintain delivery truck and trailer.
• Maintain and inspect truck and trailer regularly to keep a safe and well-kept delivery unit.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Report any safety issues immediately to management.
• Help keep shop areas clean and organized.

Requirements

• Clean, valid Driver's license
• At least 21 years of age
• Have or able to obtain DOT Health Card
• Physically able to roll commercial truck tires onto and off trailer ramp (50 -150 lbs.)
• Drive for 8+ hours per day within DOT limits
• Likely authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• CDL a plus, but not required

• Commitment to follow all safety procedures and comply with DOT regulations and safety requirements
• Self-starter and willing to take initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions
• Strong work ethic; independently motivated to produce results with limited influence from others
• Hard worker, someone who works diligently to get tasks done and demonstrates personal characteristics, such as responsibility, dependability, conscientiousness, communication, and teamwork
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions
• Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines
