Commercial Superintendent Trainee
About the role
Wood Air Conditioning is hiring a Commercial Superintendent Trainee to join their commercial HVAC and Refrigeration install team. Responsibilities
- Learn directly from experienced Superintendents on large-scale projects.
- Manage project compliance, safety, and subcontractors.
- Post job-site compliance documents.
- Oversee issuing of Hot Work Permit.
- Populate Crane Protocol Checklist document for overhead crane work.
- Validate workers to Worker Verification and issue badges.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings.
- Manage on-site Safety Competent/ Qualified Person Designation.
- Conduct daily Contractor Meeting with store management.
- Document daily walk through and safety checks.
- Complete Supers First Day and Wal-Mart Jobsite Daily Update via XOI workflows.
- Complete Daily Communication and upload Documents into Wrike.
- Collaborate with project leadership to deliver high-quality projects on time.
- Work on rooftops and mechanical rooms at commercial job sites.
- Follow all company safety protocols.
Requirements
- A high school diploma/GED.
- Technical college or associate degree preferred.
- 3+ years of construction experience or supervisory role.
- Ability to navigate construction sites, climb ladders, and lift heavy items.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to oversee multiple tasks and teams.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred; strong safety mindset required.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Qualifications
