Commercial Strategy & Analytics Manager

About the Role

Responsible for developing and executing commercial strategy, delivering advanced business analytics, and leading cross-functional initiatives that accelerate profitable growth. The role combines strategic planning, financial and commercial analysis, customer engagement, pricing strategy, executive communications, and program leadership. Acting as a trusted advisor to Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, and executive leadership, the Manager transforms complex data into actionable insights that improve revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and competitive positioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop commercial growth strategies, market-entry plans, and account expansion initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead market, customer, competitor, and financial analyses to identify growth opportunities, pricing optimization, and portfolio improvements.
• Create executive dashboards, KPIs, forecasting models, and business performance reviews using BI and financial tools.
• Partner with Sales on pricing strategies, customer proposals, contract business cases, and commercial negotiations.
• Support Quarterly Business Reviews, executive steering committees, and Board-level presentations with compelling, data-driven storytelling.
• Lead cross-functional commercial programs, coordinating Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, Engineering, and Sales to meet milestones.
• Monitor revenue, margin, pipeline health, backlog, inventory exposure, and profitability; recommend corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, governance, reporting, and decision-making frameworks.
• Develop ROI models, scenario analyses, and investment recommendations for strategic initiatives.
• Mentor team members and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years in commercial strategy, corporate strategy, finance, business analytics, consulting, or customer business management.
• Experience supporting enterprise technology, manufacturing, cloud, AI infrastructure, or supply chain businesses.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Skills

• Strategic planning, commercial management, and business case development.
• Advanced financial modeling, pricing analytics, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Expert PowerPoint storytelling and executive communication.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets, and data visualization capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and executive presence.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, AI infrastructure, hyperscalers, and technology services ecosystems.
• Program management with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

Pay

Annual salary range: $123,000–$169,000. The range described in this posting is an estimate and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience, or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

Location

This is a remote position based in the USA, with travel as necessary. Open to candidates near major US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, California, or near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and Pacific Coast.
