Commercial Sourcing Manager, Power and Cooling Infrastructure

Responsibilities
- Define and execute multi-year category strategies for power and cooling infrastructure equipment, including market analysis, supplier segmentation, and sourcing roadmaps aligned to data center capacity growth
- Lead competitive sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier selection processes for high-value power and cooling equipment categories such as UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, CRAC and CRAH units, and cooling towers
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, conducting regular business reviews to drive performance improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and capacity
- Analyze total cost of ownership across the power and cooling supply base, identifying and executing cost reduction and value engineering opportunities in collaboration with engineering and design teams
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks associated with power and cooling equipment, including geopolitical exposure, single-source dependencies, long-lead-time components, and commodity price volatility
- Partner with data center engineering, construction, and capacity planning teams to align sourcing strategies with technology roadmaps and infrastructure deployment schedules
- Establish and track supplier capacity commitments to ensure supply availability supports Meta's global data center build pipeline
- Drive supplier development initiatives to qualify new sources of supply, expand geographic diversity, and improve supply chain resilience for critical power and cooling categories
- Develop executive-level reporting and category insights, communicating sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and risk posture to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and sustainability teams to structure contracts that reflect Meta's commercial, compliance, and environmental requirements
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement for power and cooling infrastructure equipment or related mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience leading end-to-end sourcing processes including RFx development, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract execution for capital equipment categories
- Experience developing category strategies that incorporate market intelligence, total cost of ownership analysis, and supply risk assessment
- Experience managing supplier relationships and driving measurable improvements in supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery
- Experience communicating complex sourcing strategies and supplier performance data to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Experience sourcing power and cooling equipment specifically for hyperscale or large-scale data center environments, including familiarity with UPS, switchgear, transformers, and precision cooling systems
- Experience applying should-cost modeling or value engineering methodologies to capital equipment categories
- Experience working cross-functionally with data center engineering or construction teams to align procurement strategy with infrastructure design and deployment timelines
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Familiarity with commodity market dynamics affecting power and cooling equipment, including copper, steel, and refrigerant supply chains
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
