Commercial Roofing Foreman

About the role

Baker Roofing Company is seeking a Foreman to lead and manage roofing projects. This position oversees the installation of various roofing materials and supervises a team of workers.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review job files and shop drawings with the manager
• Coordinate safety and equipment needs with the manager
• Supervise and support the crew on safety, quality, and labor production
• Maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
• Plan ahead and monitor material needs to avoid shortages
• Monitor and maintain on-site equipment
• Prepare and submit daily job reports and timesheets
• Ensure quality control of each job
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials
• Evaluate information to ensure compliance with standards
• Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment
• Repair, replace, and install roofing systems
• Train and coach other employees

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Driver’s License with a clean record
• Ability to pass a background check for high security clearance
• Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures
• Ability to calculate labor projections and material needs
• Knowledge of roofing materials and tools
• Interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments
• Ability to identify and solve problems
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Physical demands: Standing, climbing, lifting, walking, handling materials, repetitive movement, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, seeing details at close range, hearing, and speaking
• Work environment: Exposure to extreme temperatures, contaminants, hazardous materials, and equipment, minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings, exposure to high places or dangerous conditions, and adherence to safety policies and procedures
