About the role

Nations Roof, one of the largest and most prominent leaders in the commercial roofing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our dynamic team. We specialize in a wide range of projects, from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing, renovations, and ongoing roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs across all major commercial roof systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, site visits, and overhead costs.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all commercial roofing systems (e.g., built-up, modified bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC) and manufacturers to provide well-rounded solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with national clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
• Ensure all estimates align with industry standards and best practices, maintaining high-quality and accuracy in every proposal.
• Adhere to and promote safety standards and regulations, ensuring that all aspects of project estimates reflect a commitment to safe work practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and advancements in roofing systems to provide competitive and up-to-date estimates.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional growth opportunities to stay ahead in the industry and contribute innovative solutions to the team.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that all project specifications and requirements are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimation, with a strong track record of working with clients.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial/industrial roofing system design and installation code compliance, manufacturers’ requirements for warranty, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to provide precise and competitive estimates.
• Proficient with database estimating digitizer computer-based estimating software (Estimating Edge "The Edge"); software experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with a professional appearance.
• Ability to provide clear instructions and effectively explain problems or situations.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Must be oriented toward teamwork.
