Commercial & Residential Loss Control Consultant-Independent Contractor

About the role

MIB seeks an experienced Commercial & Residential Loss Control Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property inspection and loss control, with a focus on both residential and commercial/operations properties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and underwriting surveys for residential, commercial/operations, and agricultural properties.
• Identify hazards and potential risks that could lead to claims activity, injury, or loss of life.
• Gather data to assist insurance companies in establishing replacement cost values for buildings and dwellings.
• Develop comprehensive reports detailing findings from inspections and surveys.
• Collaborate with insurance company representatives to ensure accurate and timely information is provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in property inspection and loss control.
• Knowledge of insurance industry standards and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
