About the role
We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our growing commercial real estate practice. In this role, we handle a broad range of complex transactions for business clients, investors, developers, lenders, and property owners. We value attorneys who can independently manage sophisticated matters, provide practical legal guidance, and build lasting client relationships. This opportunity is well-suited for a lawyer who enjoys autonomy, collaborative teamwork, and direct client engagement while working on high-value real estate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, development agreements, and related transactional documents
- Advise clients on due diligence, title matters, land use considerations, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Coordinate with lenders, consultants, government agencies, and other stakeholders throughout transactions
- Structure and negotiate complex real estate investments and financing arrangements
- Provide strategic legal counsel regarding acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing matters
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships while supporting business development initiatives
- Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys and other members of the legal team
Qualifications
- Significant experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Experience advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and financing matters
- Ability to independently manage complex legal matters and client relationships
- Demonstrated business judgment and practical problem-solving skills
- Experience with land use, zoning, and related regulatory matters is a plus
- Additional transactional experience beyond commercial real estate is beneficial
- Existing client relationships and business development experience are highly valued
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 7 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
- Commitment to exceptional client service and professional excellence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Portable business is highly desirable but not required
Pay
$225,000 - $325,000 per year
