About the Role
The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for managing moves and installs for commercial customers. They provide outstanding customer service and assist the move process by communicating with the supervisor, customer, and crew members to ensure their team properly receives, inventories, inspects, and pulls inventory for final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage employees, providing leadership, motivation, development, and discipline to promote quality performance.
- Manage delivery and installations with the onsite install supervisor and review service with the customer and operations to ensure execution as planned.
- Oversee receiving and inspections of customer inventory, including use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and data entry.
- Track and manage charges/invoicing for each project.
- Coordinate with customers and operations throughout each project.
- Direct personnel with daily workload.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
- Perform other related essential duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Suite (especially Excel and Outlook) and data entry systems.
- Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of kitting, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires physical stamina and the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work long hours on one’s feet and regularly walk, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
