Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide educational services to customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment.
- Offer advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with customers, help with sales to current customers, and expand the company’s product offerings to new customers.
- Maintain all pest control equipment in proper working condition.
- Operate a company-provided service vehicle safely and adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
Essential Job Functions
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Work around animals, insects, and termites.
- Work around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
- Move around frequently, including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA-compliant respirator.
Requirements
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must be able to seal your face).
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
- Available to work Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information in both internal and external settings.
- Basic math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Customer-facing experience preferred.
Qualifications
