About the Role

Professional-level sales position responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the General Manager to oversee team members and ensure timely, accurate delivery of parts sourced from multiple channels, including special order, FDO, and second-source suppliers.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Provide day-to-day supervisory support for team members
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on coaching and developmental needs for team members
  • Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards are met
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second-source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Maintain commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with the General Manager to ensure proper driver coverage

  • ASE P2 certified or ASE-ready equivalent

  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills

Essential Job Skills

  • Working knowledge of automotive systems (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.) and diagnostic ability
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Spanish a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of commercial profitability concepts, including competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred
  • Proven sales ability with experience in customer transaction fulfillment
  • Formal or informal experience leading teams, including supervising daily tasks and collaborating to achieve goals
  • ASE Certification preferred but not required

Physical Demands

  • Predominantly walking or standing during work hours
  • Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel
  • Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

  • Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries or wiper blades)
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic/caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment

Pay

Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
