About the role
A professional level sales position within the commercial side of the business, responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the General Manager to manage Team Members.
Responsibilities
- Maintain commercial customer relationships
- Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
- Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
- Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
- Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
- Maintain commercial stocking programs
- Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain core bank and commercial returns
- Maintain commercial credit accounts
- Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage
Success Factors

- Operating POS and Parts lookup systems
- ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
- Advanced selling skills for commercial customers

- Advanced solution, project, and product quality recommendation ability
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized
- Effective communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
Essential Job Skills
- Necessary for success as a Commercial Parts Pro: working knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic ability, communication, writing, reading, math, organizational skills, understanding of commercial profitability concepts, and ability to work various shifts.
Education and Certifications
- Necessary for success: High school diploma or GED, ASE Certification preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, feeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment
- Usually working inside, occasionally outside and exposed to various weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration.
Compensation and Benefits
The good faith estimate for this role is between 18.85 USD and 20.98 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
