About the role

A professional level sales position within the commercial side of the business, responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
  • Collaborate with General Manager on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Manage commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with General Manager to ensure proper driver coverage

  • Parts and automotive system knowledge skills
  • Operating POS and Parts lookup systems
  • ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
  • Advanced selling skills for commercial customers
  • Ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc.
  • Advanced solution, project, and product quality recommendation ability
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized
  • Effective communication, listening, and problem-solving skills

Essential Job Skills

  • Necessary for success as a Commercial Parts Pro: working knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic ability, friendly communication, safety knowledge, organizational skills, ability to source from multiple sources, advanced selling skills, ability to multi-task, effective communication, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.

Education and Certifications

  • Necessary for success: High school diploma or GED, ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

  • Walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, feeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Usually working inside, occasionally outside and exposed to various weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration.

Compensation and Benefits

The good faith estimate for this role is between 20.75 USD and 23.09 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
