About the role

A professional level sales position within the commercial side of the business, responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the General Manager to manage Team Members. Requires expertise in automotive systems and parts knowledge, sourcing capabilities, and dispatching drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Manage commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential Job Skills

  • Necessary for success as a Commercial Parts Pro: working knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic ability, communication, writing, reading, math, and computer skills
  • Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfilling customer transactions
  • Formal or informal experience leading teams, including supervising daily tasks, and working together to achieve goals

Education and Experience

  • Necessary for success: High school diploma or GED, ASE Certification preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior automotive parts experience preferred

Physical Demands

  • Walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, feeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds

Work Environment

  • Usually working inside, occasionally outside and exposed to various weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration

Compensation and Benefits

  • The good faith estimate for this role is between 18.85 USD and 20.98 USD per hour for a new team member
  • Eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance
