About the role

A professional level sales position within the commercial side of the business, responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the General Manager to manage the team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Provide day-to-day supervisory support for Team Members
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are achieved
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Maintain commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

  • Necessary for success as a Commercial Parts Pro: working knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic ability, friendly communication, safety knowledge and skills, operating inventory systems and store equipment, parts and automotive system knowledge skills, operating POS and Parts lookup systems, ASE P2 certification, advanced selling skills, sourcing ability, multi-tasking, effective communication, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, understanding of commercial profitability concepts, ability to work various shifts, prior automotive parts experience, proven sales ability, formal or informal team leadership experience, education and certifications.

Physical Demands

  • Walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling/following, reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting/carrying up to 100 pounds, exposure to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, vibration, moderate noise levels, working indoors/outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions, working at heights, working around moving machinery, working with hazardous materials.

Work Environment

  • Usually working inside, occasionally working outside, exposed to various weather conditions, exposed to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, vibration, moderate noise levels, exposure to hazardous materials, working at heights, working around moving machinery, working with hazardous materials.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is between 18.85 USD and 20.98 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on a number of factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
